Buddy - Terms of Service

Welcome to Buddy. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Jet Studios Inc. (“Buddy”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). They govern your access to and use of the Buddy mobile application, website, and any features, tools, or services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

“You” refers to anyone using the Services, whether personally or on behalf of an organization. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

  1. Eligibility

    Buddy is intended for users 13 years and older.

    If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

    Buddy does not provide therapy, counseling, medical care, crisis support, or any regulated mental-health service. Buddy is an AI companion that offers friendly conversation and emotional support only, similar to speaking with a supportive friend.

    If you are experiencing a crisis, call your local emergency number or crisis hotline immediately.

  1. Your Account

    To use some features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for anything done through your account.

    Notify us immediately at hello@meetmybuddy.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

  1. Privacy & Data

    We respect your privacy. By using the Services, you consent to our Privacy Policy.

    Message Data

    Buddy stores conversation data securely to operate the service, improve chat quality, and maintain your Buddy’s memory.

    You can delete your data at any time through the app settings.
    We do not sell your data.

  1. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use Buddy to:

    • break any law or regulation

    • engage in hate speech, violent content, or abusive behaviour

    • upload malware, bots, or disruptive code

    • scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to access the underlying models or systems

    • attempt to use Buddy to provide professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice


    We may monitor activity (automatically or manually) to detect harmful or illegal behavior and may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

  1. AI Content & Limitations

    Buddy generates content using artificial intelligence.

    You understand and agree that:

    • responses may be incorrect, incomplete, or unpredictable

    • Buddy does not replace licensed professionals

    • you should not rely on Buddy for decisions affecting your health, safety, or legal rights

    • anything generated by Buddy is provided “as is”

    You are responsible for reviewing and evaluating all outputs.

  1. Your Content

    “Your Content” means anything you submit — messages, images, preferences, and other data. You retain ownership of Your Content.

    By using the Services, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and use Your Content only to operate and improve the Services.

    We do not use Your Content for advertising, external training, or commercialization.


    You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to the content you submit.

  1. Intellectual Property

    All elements of the Services — including branding, UI, features, code, and visual assets — are owned by Jet Studios Inc. or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.

    You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the Services.

  1. Subscriptions & Billing

    Buddy offers optional paid subscriptions through the Apple App Store.

    Billing & Renewal

    • Subscriptions are billed by Apple.

    • They automatically renew until cancelled.

    • Apple handles payments, refunds, and cancellations.

    To manage or cancel your subscription, visit your App Store account settings.

    Buddy cannot access or modify App Store billing on your behalf.

  1. Disclaimers

    Buddy is provided “as is” and “as available”.

We provide no warranties, including:

• no guarantee of accuracy

• no guarantee of availability

• no guarantee that the AI will behave in a specific way

Buddy does not provide medical, psychiatric, therapeutic, or crisis services.

If you are at risk of harm, seek professional help immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Buddy Technologies Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

• Our total liability for any claim is limited to CAD $100 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations — in those cases, we limit liability to the maximum extent allowed.

11. Indemnification


You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Buddy Technologies Inc., its employees, and its partners from any claims arising from:

• your use of the Services

• your content

• your violation of these Terms

12. Termination


We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Services.

You may delete your account anytime.

Sections involving ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.

13. Dispute Resolution (Arbitration Agreement)


This applies to all users outside Quebec (Quebec restricts mandatory arbitration).

Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court.

You waive:

• the right to a jury trial

• the right to participate in class actions or representative actions

You may opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@meetmybuddy.app within 30 days of first using the Services.

For users in Quebec, disputes may be brought before provincial courts in accordance with Quebec law.

14. Governing Law


For users in Canada, these Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia.

For users outside Canada, the laws of British Columbia apply except where local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

15. Changes to These Terms


We may update these Terms from time to time.

We will update the “Last Updated” date when we make changes.

Your continued use of the Services means you accept the revised Terms.
